The Winter School for Women, organized by the International Centre for Free and Open Source Solutions (ICFOSS), held its fifth edition from January 29th to February 9th, 2024, in "Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing". This gathering brought together postgraduate students, research scholars, faculty members, and industry professionals, all women, with the primary objective of immersing them in the rapidly expanding world of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs). Through a series of invited talks and hands-on sessions, participants had the opportunity to receive personalized mentorship and foster connections among themselves. The winter school aimed to inspire participants to explore diverse dimensions of LLMs and NLP, fostering creativity and innovation.

A total of 36 women participants attended the school.
Event Outcome
The event centered around the advancement of academic and research development in the field of "Large Language Models & Natural Language Processing" specifically for the women's community. The participants enthusiastically presented their project proposals and were receptive to the suggestion of staying in touch with one another to further develop their ideas.
