The fourth edition, Winter School for Women 2023, on “Machine Translation & NLP”, organized by International Centre for Free and Open Source Solutions (ICFOSS) was held from Feb 6th to 18th 2023. A total of 27 participants from various fields attended the session. The school convened women who were Post Graduate students, Research scholars, Faculty and Professionals from industry. The main aim of the school was to introduce women to the rapidly growing NLP world and innovate them to delve into various NLP & Machine Translation dimensions. The invited talks and hands-on sessions provided an opportunity for the participants to acquire individual attention of mentors and to develop network between themselves. The winter school encouraged the participants to come up with the best and brightest ideas in various areas of Natural language processing and Machine Translation.

Event Outcome
The event centered around the advancement of academic and research development in the field of "Machine Translation & Natural Language Processing" specifically for the women's community. The participants enthusiastically presented their project proposals and were receptive to the suggestion of staying in touch with one another to further develop their ideas.
